Acceptable Items:

Fruit and vegetable scraps (bananna peels, apple cores, corn cobs, etc.)

*Meat and dairy scraps (meat trimmings, moldy cheese, outdated dairy products, etc.)

*Soiled paper, paperboard and cardboard (soiled pizza boxes, paper towels, paper plates)

*Compostable tableware (certified compostable cups, plates, forks, spoons, knives)

Put your food scraps in the green cart on the left when you first come in the gate.

*Large scale composing operations are able to accept these materials because the pile is much hotter than a backyard compost bin and therefore breaks down the material quickly.
