Ohio’s solid waste management districts are required to meet state-mandated goals. The goals include a 25 percent recycling rate for the residential and commercial sector and a 66 percent recycling rate for the industrial sector. As of 2010, the District’s residential and commercial recycling rate is 39 percent; the industrial recycling rate is 71 percent.
