For the Love of Food

The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District, along with our partner La Soupe, will be hosting For the Love of Food: A Free Foodie Fest - a wasted food prevention event - on Sunday, September 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Washington Park in downtown Cincinnati. The overarching theme of this family-friendly event is food is a valuable resource that should not be wasted.

This zero-waste event will include free food, water, music, games, educational booths, cooking demonstrations and giveaways focused on preventing the waste of food. Families that participate in activities will be eligible to receive items such as reusable water bottles, reusable grocery bags, and food to take home.

A special thanks to our sponsors: Green Umbrella, Plant Cincinnati, Kroger Zero Hunger-Zero Waste, 80 Acres Farm, Cincinnati Water Works, the Central YMCA, and the Free Store Food Bank.
